Network Architect Pre-Sales (Consultancy Work)

Location: London - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits

UK Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for UK DV clearance.

Active, lapsed DV clearance or existing SC clearance is highly desirable.

We are recruiting for an experienced Network Architect to join a specialist technology consultancy delivering complex, secure, and scalable network solutions across enterprise and highly secure environments.

This role suits a senior networking professional who operates as a trusted technical authority, combining deep technical expertise with strong consultancy and pre-sales solution design experience.

The Role

You will lead the design and architecture of enterprise network solutions across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments while working directly with customers throughout the full project life cycle from pre-sales and solution definition through to delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and designing enterprise network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN & Cloud)
• Acting as Design Authority on complex client engagements
• Supporting pre-sales activities, including ITT/RFP responses, bid support, and solution proposals
• Translating business requirements into robust technical architectures
• Producing high-quality High-Level and Low-Level Designs
• Advising customers on networking strategy, best practices, and technology roadmaps
• Engaging stakeholders at technical and executive level
• Supporting and mentoring engineering teams during delivery

What We’re Looking For (Strict Requirements)

• Strong pre-sales/consultancy experience supporting ITT, RFP, and bid activities (essential)
• Proven experience operating as a Network Architect or Design Authority
• CCIE certification or CCIE-level equivalent experience
• Strong enterprise and/or service provider networking background
• Extensive expertise in:

• Routing & Switching
• Firewalls & Network Security
• Enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN architectures

• Experience designing cloud and hybrid network environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to synthesise technical information into clear management-level summaries
• Experience engaging business stakeholders and presenting high-level solution recommendations
• Strong written communication skills suitable for both business and technical audiences
• Experience producing or overseeing High-Level and Low-Level Designs
