Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Consultant
Location: London - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
UK Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for UK DV clearance.
Active, lapsed DV clearance or existing SC clearance is highly desirable.
We are recruiting for an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Consultant to join a growing consulting environment delivering complex enterprise cloud and infrastructure solutions.
This position suits a senior technical professional who combines strong infrastructure expertise, consulting capability, stakeholder engagement, and pre-sales involvement, acting as a trusted advisor to customers at all levels.
The Role
You will provide technical leadership across customer engagements, supporting delivery teams while helping shape cloud solutions and services aligned with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership to multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering customer projects
- Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into clear management-level insights
- Engaging business stakeholders and end users to identify problems and present solution recommendations
- Producing or overseeing High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD)
- Supporting pre-sales and bid activities, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, demos, and solution shaping
- Contributing to cloud service development, defining offerings, approaches, and capabilities
- Mentoring senior engineers and ensuring effective collaboration between delivery and customer teams
- Maintaining awareness of industry trends across cloud, infrastructure, and virtualisation technologies
What We’re Looking For (Essential)
- Strong written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders
- Solid technical background across public cloud platforms, VMware virtualisation, domain services, and enterprise infrastructure architecture
- Understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code principles
- Logical and structured approach to analysing technical challenges and defining solutions
- Proven experience supporting pre-sales or bid work, providing technical expertise to help win new business
- Experience directing skilled engineering teams (technical leadership rather than line management)
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead projects to successful outcomes and stabilise challenged engagements
- Sufficient business acumen to operate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Cloud solution consulting experience
- Cloud service definition and design
- Experience supporting ITT/RFP cloud solution responses
- Relevant certifications across Cloud, VMware, DevOps, Infrastructure, or Networking technologies
