£55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role

A hands on Engineering Manager is needed for a friendly, close-knit manufacturing site close to the M11 corridor. Youll lead a small engineering team while also being actively involved in maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and maintenance activities, including breakdowns and improvements.
• Manage the Scheduled Maintenance Plan and ensure accurate documentation.
• Oversee engineering projects, new equipment installations, and upgrades.
• Deliver engineering support aligned with safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Drive equipment reliability and high OEE.
• Work with production to define specifications and manage parts.
• Conduct risk assessments and uphold site safety standards.
• Provide hands-on leadership and support to the engineering team.

Experience Required

• Strong mechanical or maintenance engineering background in a production environment.
• Chemical Engineering background is a bonus.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Leadership experience and strong communication skills.
• Project management ability and good organisational skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
