Industrial Refrigeration Engineer - Service & Maintenance
Location: Yorkshire & Surrounding Areas (home-based with regional travel)
Salary: £38,000-£56,000 DOE
Hours: 40 per week | Door-to-Door Travel Paid
Standby: 1 in 8 Rota
We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading industrial refrigeration and maintenance provider operating across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are urgently looking to appoint an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to cover Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
This is a field-based role focused on service, maintenance and reactive breakdown support across a portfolio of industrial and commercial sites.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and attending breakdowns on industrial refrigeration and chiller systems. The position offers a high level of autonomy and requires a strong technical skillset combined with excellent fault-finding ability.
Travel time is paid door to door, and you will be part of a structured 1 in 8 standby rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on industrial refrigeration plant.
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and safely.
• Complete service documentation and job reports accurately.
• Communicate technical findings clearly with clients and internal teams.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with current health and safety standards.

The Package

• Basic salary £38,000-£56,000 depending on experience.
• 40-hour working week.
• Door-to-door travel paid.
• 1 in 8 standby rota with £700 standby payment per week.
• £35 per call-out.
• Overtime paid at time and a half, rising to double time after midnight.
• Training and development support available for the right candidate.

About You

• Experience working on refrigeration systems (industrial experience desirable but not essential).
• Relevant refrigeration qualifications and F-Gas preferred (training can be provided).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
