Business Development Manager £44,000 £46,000 basic + 5% commission on all sales

UK-based (Midlands or Home Counties preferred)

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a well-established consultancy delivering professional services. This is a genuine relationship-led role focused on developing existing and warm opportunities, not cold calling.

The Role

• Manage and develop a pipeline of warm, inbound and existing client opportunities
• Build long-term relationships with clients across construction and related sectors
• Convert qualified leads into instructions for consultancy services
• Work closely with technical and delivery teams to support proposals and client meetings
• Conduct client meetings primarily via Teams, with minimal travel required
• Support strategic growth by identifying repeat and cross-selling opportunities

What We re Looking For

• Proven experience in service-based sales (consultancy, professional services, construction services, or similar)
• Strong relationship management and account development skills
• Comfortable selling value-led services rather than products
• Commercially astute, organised, and self-motivated
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• UK-based, ideally Midlands or Home Counties, but location is flexible
