Role: Field Service Engineer / Forklift Mechanic

Location: Basildon, Essex (accepting applications from surrounding areas)
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 DOE

Hours: 07:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday, 16.00 finish Friday (49 hour week)

The Company: Interaction Technical have partnered with an expanding family-owned business operating within the forklift supplier and repair industry on their search for an experienced field service engineer / forklift mechanic to join their growing team. Our client has been established for nearly 50 years and are now at a stage of growth where they are looking to add an engineer to the team. The Package:

• Salary between £40,000-£50,000 salary dependent of experience
• Company van & fuel card + limited personal use with van

The Role:

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on forklift and plant machinery.
  • Collaborate with customers surrounding the lifting and handling products.
  • The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Actively travelling to sites and carrying out repairs of the equipment and creating solutions.
  • Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
• Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries (advantageous)
• Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License
