An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building services provider on a prestigious commercial contract near Liverpool Street, City of London. This well-established company is known for investing in its engineers through ongoing training, development, and genuine internal progression opportunities.

Based within a 17-storey commercial office building, the successful mechanically qualified engineer will work as part of a two-person maintenance team. The role operates on a Monday to Friday split shift pattern, rotating weekly between 7:00am – 4:00pm and 10:00am – 7:00pm.

You will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring all building services systems are operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
• Pumps (bearings and mechanical seals)
• Sprinkler systems
• Water treatment (tap tests, dosing, cooling tower checks, etc.)
• Monitoring tap temperatures
• Chilled water systems
• General plumbing duties
• Generators
• Pressurisation units
• Basic BMS operation

Requirements

• City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Apprentice trained (desirable)
• Proven experience in building services maintenance
• Strong client-facing skills and professional approach

Package

• Up to £48,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday (7:00am – 4:00pm / 10:00am – 7:00pm, weekly rotation)
