Principal Backend Developer (.NET) Manchester (Onsite) Up to 75,000

We’re looking for a Principal Backend Developer to join our Manchester-based team. This is a senior technical leadership role for an experienced .NET engineer who can drive backend architecture, scalability, and best practices.

Tech Stack

• .NET / .NET Core
• C#
• Web APIs
• SQL Server
• Azure (preferred)

The Role

• Lead backend architecture and technical direction
• Design and build scalable, high-performance APIs
• Champion clean code, testing, and engineering standards
• Mentor and support developers within the team
• Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams

What We’re Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
• Proven experience in a senior or principal-level role
• Deep understanding of API design and backend architecture
• Experience mentoring and influencing technical decisions
• Strong communication and leadership skills
