Software Developer - IDMS - Tax - Contract
Telford - 2 days per month onsite
6-month Contract
SC Clearance is required for this role

Hiring for an experienced Software Developer / Engineer to join the Tax Admin team, supporting critical enterprise tax systems. This role requires strong technical expertise across legacy and client-server technologies, with a focus on stability, enhancement, and continuous improvement of live services.

Responsibilities include:
Design, develop and maintain PL/SQL and CA Gen applications
Support deployment activities and Implementation Management
Manage clone activities including restores, robotics coordination, testing, and
patch upgrades
Troubleshoot performance issues and provide technical support
Collaborate across incident, problem, and continuous improvement forums
Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practice
Drive batch performance improvements and reduce failure rates
Support audit and Disaster Recovery requirements
Provide occasional out-of-hours support for batch failures and live releases

Skills & Experience
Strong experience with CA Gen, Tuxedo, Oracle, PL/SQL, and Unix
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications
Ability to work collaboratively across technical and stakeholder teams
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
