We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect with deep expertise in enterprise networking to support a major Central Government organisation on a 6-month contract.

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence in Milton Keynes 1-2 days per week.

Proven experience as a Senior Technical Architect within complex enterprise or government environments

Strong expertise in:

Network topology design (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, hybrid models)

Wireless network architecture (enterprise-scale deployments, high-density environments)

Firewall architecture and network security design

Public cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP hybrid networking)

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and assurance of enterprise network topology across multi-site and hybrid environments

Define and optimise wireless network architecture, ensuring performance, security, and scalability

Architect and review Firewall strategies, segmentation models, and secure boundary controls

Design and implement public cloud connectivity solutions (eg, secure hybrid connectivity, VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute equivalents.
