Infrastructure Specialist - Windows 10 to 11 Migration

Location: Hursley - 4 days per week on site Duration: ASAP - November 2026 Clearance: Active SC required

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to lead and support a Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration across secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 across enterprise environments
• Build, configure and deploy Windows 11 images using MDT and WDS
• Implement and manage device configurations and security lockdown policies
• Configure and manage Group Policies (GPOs)
• Administer Active Directory environments
• Manage updates and patching using WSUS
• Monitor infrastructure components using SolarWinds
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell
• Support troubleshooting across OS, deployment and basic networking layers

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11

• Proven experience delivering Windows OS migrations in enterprise environments

• Deep knowledge of:

  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy (GPOs)
  • WSUS
  • SolarWinds

• Experience configuring Windows 11 lockdown/security settings

• Strong PowerShell scripting skills

• Experience with MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) and WDS (Windows Deployment Services)

• Solid understanding of basic networking principles

Nice to Have

• Experience working in secure government environments
• Familiarity with Guardian environments or secure airspace/defence programmes
• ITIL or structured service delivery experience
