Electrical Engineer (70/30 Elec Bias)
Salary: £48,000 - £50,180 + Overtime (1.5x)
Shift Pattern: Continental (4 on / 4 off - Days & Nights)
We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join a busy manufacturing site. This is a replacement role due to a leaver, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running within an established engineering team.
The Role
You’ll be working on a wide range of heavy manufacturing equipment, carrying out fault finding, breakdowns and planned maintenance across the site.
Key responsibilities include:
- PLC fault finding on Siemens and Mitsubishi
- Electrical fault finding on sensors, relays and control panels
- Maintenance and breakdown support on heavy machinery
- Working on presses, crushers and gearboxes
- Supporting continuous improvement and site reliability
Electrical bias is approximately 70% electrical / 30% mechanical.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
We’re keen to speak to engineers with:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Background in food manufacturing or food recycling (other manufacturing backgrounds considered)
- Strong electrical fault-finding capability
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- A proactive, team-focused approach

- 6am - 6pm
- Continental shift pattern:
4 days on / 4 off / 4 nights on / 4 off
Package & Benefits
- Salary: £48,000 - £50,180 (top end dependent on experience)
- Overtime / Shift Allowance: Paid at 1.5x
