Job title: Systems Engineer - MBSE

Rate: 83 per day inside ir35

Contract: 6 months+

Location: Reading/Hybrid (2-3 days per week on site)

SC security clearance is required for this role

I am looking for a System Engineer within product delivery for a client of mine who are a leading tech and engineering form operating within the UK defence sector. A fantastic opportunity and drive the digital transformation of engineering at the enterprise level.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the delivery and evolution of MBSE digital capabilities-toolchains, model repositories, digital threads, and lifecycle environments.
• Translate complex business and engineering needs into clear roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through models, simulations, and test evidence.
• Drive adoption of model-centric practices, making models the single source of truth across programs.
• Collaborate across engineering, digital, and supplier teams to define standards, governance, and integration strategies.
• Lead vendor engagement, technology evaluation, and innovation in simulation, digital twins, and model verification.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven MBSE delivery experience (SysML/UML, IBM DOORS NG, TeamCenter, simulation orchestration).
• Strong background in aerospace, defence, or regulated safety-critical industries.
• Strategic thinker with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
