AI Business Partner

A London Market Specialty Insurer is establishing a new AI function to accelerate adoption across the business. You’ll shape how AI is deployed, governed, and scaled across underwriting, claims, and operations.

Operating as an AI Business Partner, you’ll guide business units on AI strategy, implementation, and best practices. You’ll need the people skills of a consultant with a strong grasp of AI technology, driving delivery through to implementation and productionisation. This role would suit an AI-savvy consultant or strategy professional who understands when to use AI, when to leverage RPA instead, and how to translate business challenges into working AI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Act as in-house AI consultant, translating business challenges into working AI solutions and advising on diverse AI initiatives
• Drive delivery of AI solutions from conception through to implementation and productionisation, coordinating across IT and business teams
• Develop and maintain AI governance framework
• Build internal communities and relationships along with L&D to deliver AI training across underwriting, claims, and operations
• Lead vendor evaluation for vendor solutions, advising on the right technology for each use case

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI limitations
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
• Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and regulatory compliance (EU AI Act advantageous)
• Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to drive projects from conception through to productionisation
