Salary: £52,719.28

Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights (12-hour shifts)

We are supporting a fast-paced, high-performing manufacturing business in Birmingham that is looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with hands-on exposure to heavy industrial plant machinery. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and a minimum of one year of UK manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities of this Maintenance Engineer position:

• Maintenance and repair of heavy industrial machinery including furnaces, forging equipment, vacuum systems, milling machines, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• General maintenance of plant facilities across the site
• Servicing manual lathes, milling machines, planers, bar peelers, and similar equipment
• Conducting both planned and reactive maintenance
• Confidently carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Stripping, rebuilding, installing, and commissioning machinery
• Supporting continuous improvement and ensuring smooth plant operation

Required Experience & Skills of this Maintenance Engineer position:

• Minimum 2 years experience maintaining heavy industrial plant machinery
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience in plant facilities maintenance
• Welding and fitting experience
• Competent in electrical and mechanical diagnostics
• Experience installing and commissioning industrial machinery
• Hold an electrical or mechanical qualification such as NVQ or HND
• CNC maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential
• Strong communication skills with a reliable and flexible approach
