Exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation based in Wallingford as a Linux Systems Administrator, offering up to £45,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits and opportunities for development.

The Role

As Linux Systems Administrator, you’ll join a close-knit IT/infrastructure team and be responsible for:

• acting as an escalation point for technical issues, troubleshooting and problem solving technical issues related to the Linux environment
• systems administration and support for Linux environment, including both physical & virtual services, as well as on-premise and cloud services
• day-to-day management and support of Linux solutions (patching etc.)
• play a key role in ongoing projects, implementing new / replacing solutions

About you

Applicants for the Linux Systems Administrator role will have:

• experience gained in a similar systems administration role, with experience / knowledge of Linux solutions
• experience / knowledge of virtualisation, Microsoft applications (e.g. MS365), desktop/server hardware, security technologies (firewalls, VPN etc) and general networking (switches, routers etc.)
• strong communication and team working skills, with a passion for learning new technologies
