SCG Together is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Field Engineer to join our team. The role involves providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and fault resolution across customer locations. The successful candidate will represent SCG professionally while delivering high-quality technical service.

Responsibilities:

Provide on-site technical support, diagnostics, and fault resolution for customer systems and equipment

Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network infrastructure

Respond to service requests and incidents

Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, escalating where necessary

Carry out preventative maintenance and system health checks

Accurately document work completed, including reports and service notes

Maintain a high standard of customer service and communication

Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures while working on-site

Work independently in the field while collaborating with internal teams

Skills

Essential:

Previous experience in a technical support or field engineering role

Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

Good knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and networking

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong organisational and documentation skills

Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Experience with networking equipment such as routers, switches, and Wi-Fi

Knowledge of telecoms, VoIP, broadband, or fibre services

Relevant technical certifications or equivalent experience

Experience working to SLAs and using ticketing systems
