Overview:
An established manufacturing business in Bedford is looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join their team. This role offers a mix of hands-on engineering, machinery support, and process improvement within a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow cGMP and relevant Standard Operating Procedures at all times
• Ensure prompt repair and maintenance of all plant and machinery
• Carry out machine changes correctly and efficiently
• Advise on the most productive use of machinery
• Assist in investigating complaints and preventing recurrence
• Complete all GMP documentation, including machine logs and repair/modification records
• Support preparation of quotations with technical input
• Attend and contribute to daily scheduling meetings
• Assist with training and development of training programmes as required

Skills & Competencies:

• Extensive engineering experience within a production environment
• Ability to deliver practical and effective engineering solutions
• Proactive in improving line efficiency and processes
• Competent with standard PC software
• Professional approach to handling production engineering issues
