OT Cyber Security Engineer – Contract (Energy Sector)

Rate: Hourly rate + overtime available
Contract: Initial 6 months, with strong likelihood of long-term extension (2–3 years)
Location: Warrington or Haydock (3–5 days on site)

I’m looking for an OT Cyber Security Engineer to join a long-term programme within the energy sector, working on critical infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on contract role with significant longevity, supporting multiple phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing and hardening OT security controls
• Supporting control system protection, telemetry replacement and SCADA environments
• Deploying and securing industrial networks.
• Working closely with automation engineers from design through to testing
• Security testing, verification, FATs and SATs
• Repeating and refining designs across follow-on projects

Key Experience:

• OT / ICS cyber security engineering
• Industrial network deployment and security hardening
• SCADA and control systems environments
• Security testing and validation in operational environments

Additional Info:

• Some travel may be required for FATs and SATs
