Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Bridge Engineer role

Reporting to the Team Leader you will:

• Lead and run design-based projects both in the UK and Internationally, which includes Canada and the Middle East
• Complete site visits as and when is needed
• Guide and mentor junior engineers during projects and through chartership, if needed
• Communicate with clients when required
• Aid senior management team with securing new business for the team

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bridge Engineer
• Experience designing either Highway or Rail Bridges
• Chartered with the ICE or IStructE
• Exposure to large scale UK Infrastructure

Personal skills

The Senior Bridge Engineer role would suit someone who is:

• An established leader, or keen to grow into the role
• A team player but also able to work independently to time constraints
• Adaptable to change
• Keen to learn other sectors as and when needed (possibility of secondment to other discipline sectors)
