This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a fast-growing, forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as an industry-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a keen, capable Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design who is willing and able to lead a team through their delivery of an array of challenging projects. You will be responsible for leading a bright new team of design engineers, based just on the outskirts of the artsy, popular city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
Delivering on a broad range of design projects and developments
Leading a team of Civil Engineers, providing mentorship and guidance as they develop professionally
Overseeing a variety of aspects of engineering projects, delivering them to the highest of standards within agreed budgets and timescales
Leading the delivery of a number of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Building and maintaining important professional relations with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other such technical documents
Enforcing company policies and procedures, ensuring all colleagues consistently adhere to best practice
Upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
Delivering business development strategies, acting as a trusted company representative
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A UK Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a similar, relevant field
Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body, or proactively working to attain this
Extensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK-based consultancy setting
Demonstrable experience of working with water-based projects
Experience of detailed civil engineering design, particularly drainage systems and strategies
Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
Considerable experience of preparing reports and other technical documents
Prior experience of leading projects and/or teams
Experience of managing client and stakeholder relations
Good organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A UK Master’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology (or a cognate discipline)
Specific experience of working with non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, pumping stations, etc.)
Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)
Experience of working in a public-facing role
