Software Engineer Document Management & Workflow Systems

Initial 6-month contract

Fully remote , EU working hours

Start end of Feb / early March

Were looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Contractor) to support a regulated banking client on their Document Management & Workflow systems . The role focuses on platforms covering the full document lifecycle (generation, capture, archiving, signing) using SharePoint Online and cloud technologies.

Key requirements:

Hands-on experience building Document Management systems in SharePoint Online (essential)

Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar

Experience with AWS (S3, OpenSearch)

Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Experience in regulated environments (banking/finance preferred)

Fluent English

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain document management, archiving, and signing solutions

Work with APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications

Ensure software meets IT standards, security, and compliance requirements

Collaborate with stakeholders and external vendors on solutions and roadmaps

Support security hardening and vulnerability management

Participate in the full software development lifecycle

Analyse business requirements and maintain technical documentation

Share knowledge and best practices within the team
