Multi-Skilled Workshop Engineer £18£22 per hour (DOE)

Our client, a well-established engineering business based in Dunstable, is looking for an experiencedMulti-Skilled Workshop Engineerto join their team.

The role involves assembling, testing, upgrading, and commissioning production machinery, as well as supporting junior engineers and ensuring high-quality engineering standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, test, and commission new and refurbished production machinery
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
• Carry out installations, wiring, and upgrades on-site and in the workshop
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Read and interpret engineering and wiring diagrams
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety

Skills & Experience:

• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background (food processing equipment experience desirable)
• Hands-on experience in fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Knowledge of PLC systems and electrical wiring design
• Proactive, detail-focused, and a strong team player
• Engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical) preferred
