Our client, a pioneering leader in the SatComm sector, is currently seeking an Embedded Software Quality Engineer to join their rapidly growing UK team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-quality software projects for satellite communications, pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation in space exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring software quality standards in space-related projects
  • Defining and implementing software product assurance strategies
  • Integrating product assurance strategies within the implementation team
  • Presenting product assurance plans and reports to customers
  • Assessing adherence to required quality assurance standards (e.g., ECSS-Q-ST-10C, DO-178B, AS9115)
  • Developing quality-related automated tests and pipelines

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in software quality, software testing, and quality assurance
  • Familiarity with software quality/product assurance standards (e.g., ECSS-Q-ST-10C, DO-178B, AS9115)
  • Proficiency in using static analysis tools (e.g., CPPCheck, Lint, SonarQube, Helix QAC)
  • Experience with code coverage tools (e.g., GCOV, LCOV, LDRA, Vector Cast)
  • Integration with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Understanding of testing/QA best practices and standards
  • Experience using issue management tools like Jira or Redmine
  • Embedded system and device testing experience
