• Over 10 years of experience in application architecture and design, with deep expertise in .NET/C#, SQL Server, and integration technologies
• Proven track record of modernising legacy monolithic systems to microservices or service-oriented architectures
• Strong knowledge of containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Databricks
• Familiarity with messaging protocols (MQ, Kafka), API design, and secure integration patterns
• Ability to define observability metrics and guide testing and monitoring efforts
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with regulatory compliance standards such as BCBS239 and DORA
• Background in working with near real-time trading platform integrations
• Certification in TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar credentials

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Significant experience leading complex architecture projects within the banking or financial services industry

• Must be based in the UK, specifically London
• Ability to visit client sites once or twice a week
