What Youll Do
As the Installation Project Engineer, youll provide first-line leadership to a team of Johnson Controls field-based Engineers, ensuring excellence in delivery, quality, and safety. Reporting to the Head of Regional Install UK, youll play a key role in driving performance, supporting strategic growth, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting installation teams to deliver high-quality fire suppression projects
Managing delivery, quality, and Health & Safety standards
Overseeing your own financial work bank and supporting cost optimisation
Coordinating engineers on site
Planning manpower and equipment to meet project timelines and budgets
Monitoring documentation, timesheets, and compliance
Conducting regular safety and quality audits
Identifying development needs and supporting training plans, including annual appraisals
Managing workload to maximise productivity and forecast accuracy
Monitoring budgets and preparing reports for senior management
Liaising with Credit Control to minimise disputes and support timely invoicing
What Were Looking For
Youll thrive in this role if you bring:
Experience working within an installation environment
Proven experience supervising or managing engineering teams
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
A full UK driving licence
Experience with Mechanical Fire Suppression systems
Ideally 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry
Good PC literacy, including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of LPCB BS12845 and/or NFPA standards (preferred)
