IAM Technical Analyst Contract
Location: Hybrid Sheffield
Contract: Until end of year (Inside IR35)

We are working with a leading financial services organisation who are seeking an experienced IAM Technical Analyst to support a large-scale Identity and Access Management transformation programme.
This role will suit an analyst with strong technical understanding of IAM and cybersecurity, who is comfortable operating in complex, global environments and engaging with senior programme and architecture stakeholders. You will work as part of a highly skilled delivery team, reporting into the Programme Director and playing a key role in shaping IAM requirements, processes, and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and document technical requirements across the IAM and cybersecurity landscape
Map and document end-to-end IAM processes, supporting design, approval, and implementation
Translate business and technical requirements into clear use cases and test cases
Work closely with architects, engineers, and programme leadership to ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery
Support stakeholder engagement across multiple teams and functions within the programme
Provide clear status updates, including progress, risks, and the path to completion
Challenge requirements constructively and contribute to continuous improvement
Take accountability for assigned deliverables and ensure they are completed to schedule and quality standards
Produce and maintain high-quality documentation using tools such as Confluence, Visio, and Excel
Required Experience
Strong experience as a Technical Analyst within IAM and Cybersecurity programmes
Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management, including authentication, access management, governance, and privileged access management
Proven experience working in large-scale, complex, and global organisations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive requirement collation across diverse stakeholder groups
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including Programme Directors and senior architects
Confident communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision
Experience working in matrixed, multi-cultural environments
Nice to Have
Background in financial services and understanding of regulatory and compliance drivers
Experience supporting enterprise-wide programmes critical to business performance
Awareness of external drivers including regulatory, market, and competitor factors
