PurposeoftheJob
Todeliverplannedandreactivemaintenancewithinacriticalenvironment,ensuringelectricalandassociatedbuildingservicesoperatesafelyandreliably.
Tosupportthesafeoperationofcriticalsystemswithinasingle-siteoperationinWednesbury.
Toworkaspartofasmall,highlyskilledonsiteengineeringteammaintaininguptimeandcompliance.
Torespondeffectivelytoreactiveissuesandparticipateinthesitecall-outrota.
KeyResponsibilities
CarryoutPlannedPreventativeMaintenance(PPM)andreactivemaintenanceonelectricalsystemswithsupportingmechanicalexposure.
Performfaultfinding,maintenance,andrepairsonHV/LVsystems(whereauthorised).
Supporttheoperationandmaintenanceofcriticalinfrastructureincludingpower,lifesafety,andbuildingservices.
Ensureallworksarecompletedinlinewithstatutoryrequirements,siteprocedures,andSLAexpectations.
Accuratelycompletemaintenancedocumentation,permits,andreports.
WorkcollaborativelywiththeSupervisorandfellowEngineertoensuresiteresilienceandcontinuity.
Escortandoverseespecialistsubcontractorswhenrequired.
Respondtocall-outsaspartoftheonsiterota,coveringtheBirminghamsiteonly.
PersonalExperience/Qualifications/Skills
Strongelectricalbackgroundwithamulti-skilledcapability.
ExperienceworkingwithincriticalenvironmentssuchasDataCentres,Banking,Hospitals,orPharmaceuticalsites(highlydesirable).
HV/LVexperiencestronglydesirable.
Abilitytofault-findunderpressureinliveenvironments.
Strongunderstandingofhealth&safety,permit-to-worksystems,andcriticalsiteprocedures.
Goodcommunicationskillsandaprofessional,team-orientedapproach.
