Our client, a specialist in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a GUI Software Engineer to join their team in Hampshire on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing efficient real-time systems
• Understanding and applying new and emerging technologies
• Developing new features for the Electronic Warfare suite of software
• Contributing to diverse projects spanning domains such as Array Processing, Communications, and Sensors

Job Requirements:

• Expertise in GUI and GUI Design
• Proficiency in C# for user interface development and associated services
• Competence in C++ for services and DSP
• Experience with unit and system testing
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including version control and continuous integration

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in developing UI for scientific or technical applications
• Knowledge of WPF for user interfaces
• Experience with SQL databases
• Understanding of modern communication protocols, e.g. REST / Websockets
• Knowledge of the latest Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
• Awareness of electronic warfare principles
