About the Role

Pertemps West Bromwich are recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a Workshop/Inspection Engineer to join their specialist lifting equipment team based in Tipton.

This is a hands-on, technical role where youll be inspecting, maintaining and repairing a wide range of lifting gear - including hoists, chain blocks and bespoke lifting equipment used across multiple industries.

Youll be responsible for:

• Inspecting & testing lifting gear in line with LOLER regulations
• Identifying and recording equipment damage and completing service reports
• Working to high safety and housekeeping standards
• Supporting colleagues in the workshop and occasionally assisting with driving/deliveries
• Communicating clearly with your Line Manager and customers when needed
• Repairing, servicing and maintaining lifting equipment

This role suits someone mechanically minded, ambitious and eager to develop within a highly specialist industry.

What Were Looking For

Our client is ideally seeking someone with:

? Experience maintaining or inspecting lifting equipment

? Knowledge of LOLER (or willingness to train towards LOLER Inspector level)

? Strong mechanical or engineering skills

? A full UK driving licence

? Good communication, organisation and attention to detail

? A positive, ambitious mindset and willingness to learn

? Ability to work well within a supportive workshop team
