What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, coding, testing, and documenting software components that form part of secure and scalable information or communication systems.
• Providing accurate estimates for development effort and delivering high-quality code to agreed specifications.
• Developing software solutions with a strong focus on data processing and information flow.
• Working with AWS Cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.
• Analysing and resolving code defects through logical, efficient debugging.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to team knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Collaborating in Agile teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance solutions for critical systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience in at least one back-end programming language such as Java, C++, Node.js, Python, or C.
• A passion for solving complex technical problems and delivering innovative solutions for customers.
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve skills.
• An understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Microservices (desirable but not essential).
• Excellent teamwork skills and an appreciation for Agile delivery methods.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and share knowledge across teams.

Additional Information

Due to the nature of the work, all applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC or DV level). This typically requires a minimum of 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK, depending on the level of clearance required
