Role Overview
The SAP Retail Functional Consultant will lead all functional activities related to the end-to-end inbound integration of master data into SAP. This includes requirement gathering, managing architectural dependencies, collaborating with Legacy system teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of article master data into SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Planning
Gather and define high-level requirements for end-to-end master data integration.
Plan timelines in alignment with system test cycles.
Use JIRA for scope alignment, tracking, and delivery planning.
Design & Documentation
Prepare High-Level Design (HLD), Field Mapping Documents (FMD), and Functional Design Documents (FDD) for article integration.
Drive reviews and secure required approvals.
Integration & Testing
Oversee inbound master data integration into SAP, leveraging strong experience with SAP MDG and SAP Retail master data.
Validate master data flow during SIT and UAT phases.
Support SIT and UAT activities, ensuring timely delivery of all functional testing outputs.
Dependency Management
Coordinate with Legacy system teams to clarify high-level requirements.
Manage SAP dependencies across architecture, MDG, BTP, and related integration streams.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate closely with Solution Architects and technical leads.
Communicate progress, risks, and issues throughout design and build phases.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of SAP Retail master data life cycle processes.
Hands-on experience with inbound SAP Retail master data integration, including SAP MDG and related integration components.
Proficiency in interface design, functional documentation, and integration testing.
Familiarity with JIRA for tracking scope, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage both manual and integration deliverables.
Experience validating master data flows and supporting SIT/UAT phases.
