Lead Quality Engineer - The Role:
As Lead Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our electrical sensing components meet the highest standards of quality. This is a hands-on position where your expertise directly impacts customer satisfaction and product reliability.
You will take ownership of identifying and resolving non-conformances, translating quality system requirements into practical processes, and driving continuous improvement. Working within a small, focused team and reporting to the Quality & EHS Manager, you will help shape the quality culture of a growing, innovative business.
Lead Quality Engineer - The Responsibilities:
Inspect and test electrical/mechanical components to meet customer and internal standards
Maintain records and analyse returns or failures
Support quality documentation: PPAP, FMEA, control plans
Assist with process capability, statistical analysis, and quality planning
Interpret engineering specifications, tolerances, and drawings
Drive quality system improvements, supporting IATF 16949 preparation
Deputise for the Quality & EHS Manager as needed
Lead Quality Engineer - You:
HND/HNC qualified with 5-7 years in Quality Management
Experienced in manufacturing electrical/electronic components
Knowledge of certified systems (IATF 16949, ISO)
Strong mechanical aptitude and multi-skilled in engineering disciplines
Able to read technical documents, schematics, and circuit diagrams
Results-driven, confident in resolving quality issues and supporting operations
Comfortable liaising directly with customers on quality matters
