A highly innovative manufacturing business producing complex instrumentation and analytical systems is recruiting an Engineering Manager Mechanical Systems. This is a leadership role overseeing engineering design delivery, team development and mechanical technology strategy.

The RoleThe Engineering Manager will lead mechanical design engineering activities, ensuring products achieve high performance, manufacturability and mechanical safety. You will manage engineers, drive process improvements and work closely with senior stakeholders.Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering function and support multi-disciplinary teams.
• Oversee mechanical design reviews and technical governance.
• Mentor, coach and develop senior engineers.
• Support recruitment and succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools.
• Work with leadership on long-term technology and product strategy.

Skills & Experience

• Background in complex mechanical systems or instrumentation design.
• Experience leading engineers or managing technical teams.
• Strong CAD and FEA capability.
• Excellent technical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and quality systems.
