TheRole

AsaSenior/LeadShopifyDeveloper,youllberesponsibleforleadingtechnicalbuildsacrossarangeofShopifyPlusprojects.Youllcollaboratecloselywithdesigners,projectmanagers,andotherdeveloperstodeliverperformant,scalable,andbeautifullycraftedecommerceexperiences.

Youllalsoplayakeyroleinmentoringjuniordevelopers,definingcodingstandards,andcontributingtoarchitecturaldecisionsthatshapeourtechnicaldirectionasaPlatinumPartneragency.

KeyResponsibilities

• Leadend-to-endShopifyandShopifyPlusdevelopmentprojects.
• Architect,develop,andmaintaincustomShopifythemesandapps.
• Implementclean,efficient,andreusablecodeusingmodernfront-endandback-endtechnologies.
• Collaboratewithcross-functionalteams(Design,UX,Strategy,QA,PM).
• Optimisesiteperformanceandscalability.
• Integratethird-partyAPIsandcustomfunctionalityusingShopifysAPIandGraphQL.
• StayaheadofemergingShopifyfeatures,trends,andbestpractices.
• Providementorshipandtechnicalleadershiptootherdevelopers.
• Participateincodereviews,technicalplanning,andprojectestimations.’

RequiredSkills&Experience

• 5+yearsofprofessionalexperienceinwebdevelopment,withatleast3yearsspecialisinginShopify/ShopifyPlusinaseniororleadposition.
• DeepunderstandingofShopifysLiquidtemplatinglanguageandthemearchitecture.
• StrongproficiencyinHTML5,CSS3,JavaScript(ES6+),React/Vue,andmodernfront-endbuildtools(Webpack,Vite,etc.).
• ExperiencebuildingcustomShopifyappsusingNode.jsorRubyonRails.
• FamiliaritywithHeadless/Hydrogen/StorefrontAPIapproaches.
• ProvenexperiencewithShopifyAPIs,GraphQL,andwebhooks.
• StrongunderstandingofecommerceprinciplesandUXbestpractices.
• Experienceleadingprojectsormentoringdevelopers.
• Excellentcommunicationandcollaborationskills.
• MustbebasedintheUKwithfullrighttowork.

• ExperiencewithTypeScript.
• FamiliaritywithheadlessCMSplatforms(e.g.Contentful,Sanity).
