About the Role

A leading Transmission System Operator is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the safe, secure, and reliable operation of Northern Irelands electricity system. This is a chance to work at the forefront of power system innovation, renewable integration, and market development.

The Opportunity

Within the Operations Directorate, you will contribute to real-time system security, engineering analysis, outage management, risk assessment, and the development of operational tools, standards, and policies.

You may also support:

*Grid and Network Code management

*Performance analysis of new and existing generation technologies

*Commissioning, testing, and compliance processes

*Market data assurance, modelling, and reporting

These roles run to 2028 with potential for longer-term opportunities.

About You

*Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 4+ years experience in power system operations

*Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills

*Excellent communication abilities, including explaining technical concepts clearly

*Organised, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities

*Skilled in data analysis with strong attention to detail

*Innovative, adaptable, and team-focused
