Thisroleisidealforsomeonewithastrongelectricalbackground,capableoffault-finding,installation,andmaintenanceofindustrialmachinery,whiledeliveringaprofessionalandcustomer-focusedservice.

JobSummary

TheElectricalFieldServiceEngineerwillberesponsibleforinstalling,servicing,andmaintaininglasersystemsatcustomersitesacrosstheregion.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveexcellenttechnicalknowledge,problem-solvingskills,andaproactiveattitudetocustomersupport.

KeyResponsibilities

Installation&Commissioning:

• Carryoutelectricalinstallationsandcommissioningoflasersystemsatcustomersites.
• Ensurecompliancewithelectricalstandardsandallrelevanthealth&safetyprocedures.

Maintenance&Repairs:

• Conductplannedpreventativemaintenance(PPM)onsystemsandequipment.
• Diagnoseandrepairelectricalfaults,includingcontrolpanels,PLCs,anddrives.
• Replaceorrepairfaultywiring,components,andassemblies.

CustomerSupport&Training:

• Delivertechnicaltrainingandsupporttocustomersonsystemoperation.
• Providecleartechnicaladviceandensurecustomersatisfaction.
• Resolveserviceissuespromptlyandprofessionally.

Documentation&Reporting:

• Completeaccurateservicereportsdetailingworkcarriedoutandanyfollow-uprequired.
• Maintainservicelogsanddocumentationforeachcustomervisit.

Travel&Flexibility:

• Travelacrosstheregion(withoccasionalUKorinternationaltrips).
• Provideon-callorout-of-hourssupportwhenrequired.

Qualifications&Skills

Essential:

• RecognisedqualificationinElectricalorElectronicEngineering(NVQ,City&Guilds,HND,orequivalent).
• Provenexperienceinelectricalfaultdiagnosisandrepair.
• StrongunderstandingofAC/DCcircuits,motors,drives,PLCs,andcontrolsystems.
• Competentwithelectricaltestingequipment(multimeters,oscilloscopes,insulationtesters).
• ValidUKdrivinglicenceandwillingnesstotraveltocustomersites.
• Excellentcommunicationandcustomerserviceskills.

Desirable:

• Previousexperiencewithlasersystems,CNC,orindustrialmachinery.
• Knowledgeofcontrolsystems(Siemens,AllenBradley,etc.).
• Familiaritywith18thEditionWiringRegulations(BS7671).
• Backgroundinafieldserviceorcustomer-facingtechnicalrole.
