About the Role

A leading UK technology consultancy is expanding its secure consulting division and is looking for DV Cleared Platform Engineers to support critical defence and national security programmes. This role is based within the area of Wiltshire, working on-site as required due to the secure nature of projects.

Youll be responsible for building, automating and maintaining secure platforms and environments, working across cloud, on-prem and hybrid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure platform infrastructure for defence and national security systems
• Deliver automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
• Support secure hosting environments across AWS, Azure, MOD Cloud or private cloud platforms
• Work alongside security architects to ensure systems meet NCSC, JSP 604, and MOD accreditation standards
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues, ensuring performance, resilience and availability
• Collaborate with software engineers, cyber teams and project stakeholders in a secure delivery environment

Essential Experience

? Active DV Clearance (Developed Vetting)
? Strong background in platform engineering, DevOps or secure infrastructure support
? Experience with Linux systems, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins/GitLab)
? Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, MOD Cloud or equivalent)
? Containerisation/orchestration Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
? Understanding of secure configuration, hardening and defence standards

Desirable

• Experience working within Defence / National Security environments
• Exposure to secure networks, cross-domain solutions, PKI, accreditation processes
• Certifications: AWS/Azure, CKA, RHCE, Security+ or equivalent
