Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Solution Architect to be based at their client’s office in Wokingham, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Wokingham office 3 days per week.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Role description:

As a Solution Architect specialising in Red Hat OpenShift, you will design, implement, and optimise containerised solutions for enterprise clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through their cloud-native journey, ensuring scalability, security, and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect containerised applications using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Define end-to-end architecture for hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Collaborate with client teams to align technical solutions with business goals
• Lead deployment and configuration of OpenShift clusters
• Provide guidance on CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation
• Mentor teams on containerisation best practices

Key Requirements:

Essential

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux
• Proficiency in container orchestration, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Tekton), automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and security best practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and lead cross-functional teams

Desirable:

• Preferred: Red Hat Certified OpenShift Architect, RHCE
• 10+ years’ experience in IT architecture, minimum 4 years’ experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes
