Graduate Developer/Analyst Programmer
London - Hybrid Working
Permanent Full Time
£28,000 - £30,000
As a Graduate Developer, you’ll be an integral part of a close-knit team responsible for developing and supporting bespoke IT systems.
This role will offer you a wide variety of technical and business challenges as new products, regulations, and market practices emerge.
You’ll work across both Legacy and modern platforms, with a strong focus on training and development to get you up to speed quickly. From day one, you’ll contribute to real-world projects and gradually build your knowledge of both the technical and operational aspects of the organisation
What You’ll Be Working On
Our core application, running on an IBM i platform, primarily developed in RPG and some Java
Applications developed manually and via the CA:2E (Synon) rapid application development tool
A new system revamp project, featuring a ReactJS Front End and NodeJS API layer on top of our existing platform
Key Responsibilities
As part of a small and supportive team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Analysing problems and gathering requirements
Designing and developing solutions
Writing and maintaining code (RPG and JavaScript)
Performing testing and quality assurance
Producing technical and user documentation
Providing user and system support
What We’re Looking For
A recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
A keen interest in software development and problem-solving
Willingness to learn Legacy and modern technologies (RPG, Java, ReactJS, NodeJS)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks in a small team setting
