You’ll be joining the Kaluza Technology community. We’re a large team of both data-led and product focused Software and Production Engineers, pushing the boundaries of technology and working at an extraordinary scale. As a collective we strive for engineering greatness and by ensuring best practices across the board of the community.
You’ll be working on the Kaluza’s Energy Retail platform. This is a SaaS technology platform that aims to revolutionise the operating platforms for energy retailers globally. This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind and is the foundation for decarbonisation efforts by Kaluza’s customers.
What will I be doing?
You will be joining as a Software Engineer within the Billing area, an integral part of the Kaluza Energy Retail platform. Our mission is to lower retailers’ debt risk by enabling retailers to send accurate, compliant and timely bills in a low cost to serve manner.
We believe our team members should have the possibility to be involved in all aspects of our delivery. From the outset, you will be involved in all team activities including development, design, support and testing to name a few. We do not expect you to have a wealth of knowledge in our domain as this is something you can build up over time with the help of our experienced engineering team.
We use a diverse set of technologies to deliver our services. We don’t expect you to arrive with experience of all of them, but you can expect to learn about and get hands-on with many technologies, including Typescript, Scala, AWS, Terraform, Kafka and Datadog.

You’re a hands-on engineer with expertise in at least one programming language - we hire based on engineering skill rather than a specific language, so don’t worry if your experience does not match our stack

Experience of developing backend applications in Typescript is a plus
