Data Management is a team at Dunelm who are charged with unlocking the value of data and ensuring Dunelm manages data risks effectively. Covering all aspect of good data management, we work closely with colleagues across Dunelm to; define data policies, optimise processes, ensure data is of high-quality and available to the right people at the right time.
We have exciting plans with the implementation of a new PIM, re-platforming of our data estate and a new data governance framework (to name a few). It’s a great time to join our team.
This is a new role in Dunelm and provides an exciting opportunity to be a part our data journey! Supporting us in embracing the value that data brings.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead appropriate forums as required to establish, monitor, and develop a Data Governance Framework
Working with data owners and stewards to create data quality rules, benchmarking and tracking of data metrics
Collaborates with teams to build data models and advise on any data capture requirements
Partners with Business, Tech and Product teams to ensure that our solutions are aligned to the organization’s data principles and guidelines
Identify opportunities to improve and automate data maintenance
Establishes regular reporting – tracking of requests against SLAs, audit of changes, duplicate and inactive records and data non-conformities
Ensure the regulatory (e. g. GDPR) and organisational (e. g. Information security) data standards are understood and adhered to
Foster a data-driven culture of quality and accountability within Dunelm. Creating and leading a network of Data Champions and help the business unlock the value of data.
What we’ll look for in you:
An analytical mindset with a passion for linking data to real-world business challenges
Good understanding of data integration best practice
A proven track record of working in a similar Data Stewardship or Data Business Partnering role
Solid understanding of data privacy legislation
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels, convey information appropriately, and suggest improvements to processes
Have worked in complex data environments and data migration projects
Experience of working with Data Catalogues, Dictionaries and Glossaries is desirable
Prior experience leading diverse teams. Ability to deliver results by motivating and enabling teams to deliver to their strengths and passionate about creating a great work culture
Knowledge of ETL, Data Lakes and Data Warehousing, BI Reporting delivery processes is not mandatory but will be an advantage.
