Prince are happy to be supporting an established client based in the north Shropshire area, who currently have a fantastic opportunity to join their existing design team. Due to company growth and exciting, upcoming projects, this business is looking to expand their design team and skillset by bring a new Mechanical Design Engineer onboard. You will be involved with designing new and bespoke products, as well as revising and improving existing product ranges. Other responsibilities will include liaising directly with customers and internal departments on design requirements and advising on technical matters where possible.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting with the design of new and bespoke products in compliance with industry and client specifications
  • Prepare and review 3D models, fabrication drawings and BOMs using CAD software
  • Ensure that the designs meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal manufacturing teams to optimise designs for manufacturability
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, data sheets and technical specifications
  • Provide technical support through the manufacturing, inspection and testing phases
  • Support sales with quotations
  • Liaising directly with customers and suppliers on design requirements and specifications
  • Researching other products in the market to generate ideas for improvement
  • Providing technical advice and support on design requirements
  • Working with both 3D and 2D software systems such as AutoCAD/ Inventor/ Solidworks

Skills and Experience

  • Must have experience with 3D software (AutoCAD/ Inventor/ Solidworks)
  • Finite Element Analysis exposure/ understanding would be advantageous
  • Relevant qualification would be ideal but not essential
  • Must be within commutable distance Must drive or have access to own transport
  • This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer/ Design Engineer/ Mechanical Designer

We are looking for a Frontend UI Developer for our client who are in the automotive fleet services sector based in Poole. The Front-end UI Developer is responsible for implementing intuitive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that bring product and UX designs to life across web and mobile web experiences. The role works closely with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to deliver consistent, high-quality user journeys

Key Responsibilities
