The Role
The Network Infrastructure Planning Apprentice will develop thorough understanding and level of competence concerning how Transport for Wales manages the interface with Network Rail, or other industry partner, led infrastructure projects.
Role responsibilities
You’ll support the team in maintaining and managing interface arrangements with externally led projects, by engaging with project delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure that they are well informed of any changes that may impact their work.
You’ll support the Team to regularly update and maintain action trackers to ensure that procedural paperwork is completed in a timely and satisfactory standard.
You’ll support and attend site visits to undertake observations, collect photographic evidence and engage with local teams for information and feedback.
You’ll support the Network Infrastructure Planning team by working closely with the Local T Network Groups, to review progress against Delivery Plans and to support identifying remediation plans and stakeholder engagement plans for execution.
Who we’re looking for
Basic understanding of using Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to review, interpret and present data.
Ability to communicate information both verbally and written.
You’ll need to be available to start the Apprenticeship Scheme in early September 2026.
