An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer seeking a new challenge. You will be joining the Civil & Structural Engineering division within this well established and highly reputable property consultancy working on buildings projects.

The firm covers architecture, MEP, Surveying, Sustainability, Masterplanning and structural design. They have around 150 staff and have been established over 100 years with a highly reputable industry name. They are backed by a large investment firm meaning that they are assured financial stability and are in an excellent market position for continued success.

They work on a collaborative basis between teams and are able to offer the ability of all round resource to clients. They offer a mutual team support philosophy and bonus to incorporate a team sharing ethos rather than separate teams just acting as cost centres. They work to unlock efficiencies as a business to enhance margins and offer an excellent client service.

The current structural team stands at 18 staff and they are now looking to develop and grow this team, as the company see the opportunity and need for investment in this area.

The role is aimed at a candidate with around 2-3 years of experience of buildings structures projects. Knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper would be useful and experience in both RC and steel is preferable. Excellent support for Chartership will be provided.

Projects are very varied in both size and scope, currently including work in the defence sector, industrial buildings, residential projects, projects for the Police, garden centres, schools and concrete resi mid rise frames, to name but some. Projects are commonly up to £40m in value.

We are seeking a full-time Chartered Engineer with a strong technical background to support delivery of structural engineering projects within the nuclear sector. This role is suited to an experienced engineer who wishes to remain primarily focused on technical excellence, complex problem-solving and high-quality design within a highly regulated environment. The role will involve hands-on engineering design, analysis and technical assurance, working as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant and robust engineering solutions. There is no requirement for formal line management, allowing the role holder to focus on technical delivery and expertise. Role Responsibilities Deliver high-quality engineering design and analysis for nuclear projects from concept through to detailed design and implementation. Produce, review and technically assure calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports in accordance with nuclear, industry and statutory standards. Act as a technical specialist within project teams, providing expert input and supporting robust engineering decision-making. Contribute to nuclear safety cases, substantiation and design justification activities where required. Support independent checking, verification and technical assurance activities. Work collaboratively with other disciplines, clients and stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, guidance and best practice within the nuclear industry. Promote high standards of health, safety, security and quality within all aspects of technical delivery. Essential Skills Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution. Significant technical experience delivering engineering design within the nuclear industry or similarly regulated sectors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges. Excellent understanding of nuclear safety, quality and regulatory requirements. Ability to produce clear, accurate and well-structured technical documentation. Professional and collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams. Strong personal accountability for technical quality and compliance. Desirable Skills Experience contributing to nuclear safety cases, substantiation or design justification. Experience undertaking independent technical checking or assurance roles. Familiarity with working directly with nuclear clients, licensees or duty holders. Experience supporting or advising less experienced engineers in a technical capacity. Relevant Qualifications Degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural or a related engineering discipline. Job Title: Technical Pricing Manager

Location: A large potion of the team are based in Peterborough, however we are happy to have a largely remote working approach to this, with the occasional travel should you not be local.

Role purpose

We are looking for a Technical Pricing Manager to generate incremental lifetime value of our portfolio through the delivery and development of retail pricing models and optimisations using innovative and cutting-edge modelling approaches.

You will help continuously improve the pricing process and enhance the abilities of the wider team, as well as being involved with integrating and establishing the use of advanced data science and statistical techniques to enhance pricing model accuracy and output.

Key Responsibilities

• End to end production of pricing models using a tailor-made pricing pipeline
• Use of Earnix to build predictive statistical models and intelligently optimise customer prices
• Contribute and implement improvements to the pricing process to increase pricing performance and efficiency
• Contribute and lead research and development opportunities to help innovate and improve current modelling and pricing methodologies
• Evaluate and utilise tools and data items created by the data science teams
• Ensure all activity is compliant with pricing governance and follows established controls
• Work closely with the Commercial Pricing Team to ensure pricing models meet business objectives, and manage relationships with key stakeholders around the business
• Manage, mentor and coach more junior members of the team

About you:

• Highly numerate with a graduate or postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics or another analytical subject
• Experience in a pricing or actuarial role within general insurance
• Experience with price optimisation tools (Earnix/Radar)
• Experience using and implementing advanced machine learning methods
• Able to communicate complicated statistical concepts to an informed but non-technical audience
• Experience with using software packages such as R or Python to solve problems
• Proven ability to deliver commercial value through pricing insight
• Proven ability to provide commercial uplift from research and development projects
• Strong people management skills
