Excellent IT knowledge including use of AUTOCAD and Microsoft suite.
Degree/HNC, or equivalent, in civil engineering desirable.
Member of a professional institution, MCIOB, ICE or similar.
Good communication skills with client representatives, site team and operatives
Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.

What You’ll Do
• Work alongside experienced engineers to design intelligent electrical systems, from power and lighting to data, security, and energy management.
• Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations that meet client needs and sustainability goals.
• Use the latest tools and software (AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux/Relux) to bring your designs to life.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Take ownership of elements of projects, building your skills in both technical delivery and project coordination.
• Support senior engineers with client liaison, ensuring projects meet objectives and exceed expectations.
• Pass on your knowledge to junior engineers.

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll maintain the engineering configuration, ensuring the overall design intent and integrity is maintained throughout design lifecycle.
Day-to-day, you’ll promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams.
Assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress.
Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
Ensure task and project risks are communicated and managed appropriately.

Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
