What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead the Branch’s contribution to delivering Nuclear Services task orders, ensuring strategic objectives are clearly defined and aligned with Nuclear Services, EPRE, and licensee goals. The Branch comprises multiple disciplines, including Radiological Consequences, Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA), Severe Accidents, Dosimetry, Shielding, Internal and External Hazards. The teams within work across the full breadth of the nuclear lifecycle. Priorities will be communicated effectively to ensure clarity and focus across the team. A key part of your role will involve influencing and negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes.

Who you are

What you will be doing…

The Construction Delivery Lead takes responsibility for activities in the field relating to the construction of a designated section of the works and its on site facilitation.  Managing and supporting a team of Construction Delivery Managers. To provide day to day on management of site activities, providing direction and monitoring of activities on the site, and providing and validating input into planning the site and the works in a way to most safely and efficiently deliver the project.

  • Provide support to the Construction Delivery Managers by recommending temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. Follow up by taking appropriate and proportionate action (e.g. issue communications, call meetings) to avoid the cessation of works. This includes, but is not limited to, review of documents, assurance audits, etc.
  • Drive works on site and ensure contractor performance is in line with the agreed programme. Escalate concerns to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and provide solutions to recover/mitigate, following dialogue with the contractor.
  • Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with site functions (H&S, quality, surveillance, commercial, project controls, logistics) and Construction Delivery Managers to maintain good communication links, and ensure activity is well and timely reported. This will also include regular attendance at pre-start briefings and supporting the delivery of key messages to the contractor’s organisation.
  • Organise and conduct PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor, ensuring outputs are recorded and issued to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager.
  • Undertake and record safety and/or assurance inspections that support the project HSPI’s.
  • Ensure clear, two-way communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager so that all activities and issues are directed appropriately.
  • Work closely with the contract PM’s to provide support and guidance for responses to contractual correspondence.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a large, collaborative team of analogue and digital electronics engineers, where you will:

  • Lead the electronics design and development of high-speed MPSoC FPGA and AI hardware solutions
  • Work on advanced applications including SDR, radar signal processing and sensor fusion
  • Support the Technical Lead / Architect, collaborating closely with systems, software, firmware, mechanical and production teams
  • Help define elegant, optimised hardware solutions that meet demanding customer and system requirements
  • Take ownership of the high-speed digital design, while leading all electronics design activity through the full product development lifecycle
  • Play a key role in shaping robust, scalable hardware architectures for complex, safety-critical systems.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring strong technical depth, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset, including:

  • Solid experience in complex, high-speed digital electronics design
  • Experience with MPSoC FPGA, DDR & Flash memory, and high-speed serial interconnects
  • Experience in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis
  • Proficiency in VHDL to support board-level test and debug
  • Proficiency in C, C++ or Python for hardware validation and debug
  • Familiarity with DSP concepts for SDR, radar signal processing or optical sensor systems
  • Strong academic background to support this technically demanding role
  • A desire to drive collaboration, influence architecture, and ensure successful delivery
  • Excellent ability to configure and document designs to a high professional standard

Are you an experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer with a strong manufacturing focus? A global aerospace interiors manufacturer is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer to support production, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect product and flight safety across the manufacturing lifecycle.

This is a hands-on operational quality role, working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure products are built, repaired, and released in line with customer, regulatory, and aerospace quality standards. You’ll play a key role in driving quality performance, resolving issues, and supporting on-time delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as a key quality interface to operations, supporting manufacturing throughput while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Ensuring products meet customer, regulatory (EASA/CAA), and AS9100 requirements throughout manufacture and repair.
  • Supporting product release activities, including Form 1 signatory responsibilities.
  • Managing in-production quality issues, non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints.
  • Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions using QRQC / 8D methodologies.
  • Conducting audits and on-the-job training in line with internal procedures, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analysing quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring quality controls, special processes, accreditations, and measurement systems are in place and effective.
  • Managing quality aspects of outsourced or offloaded production and MRO activities.
  • Coaching and mentoring operational staff on quality requirements and best practices.
  • Escalating and stopping production where quality or safety risks are identified and defining restart conditions.

What you’ll bring

  • HNC / HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Strong experience as a Quality Engineer within aerospace or defence manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, Poke Yoke, RCCA).
  • Proven experience producing 8D reports and leading corrective actions.
  • Solid understanding of aerospace regulations and quality management systems.
  • Confidence working with operations, customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to challenge at all levels to protect quality and safety.

Desirable experience

  • AS9100 Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Experience within aerospace interiors.
  • Production or shop-floor manufacturing experience.
  • CQI membership.
