The Electrical Design Engineer role:

This is a new role reporting into the Head of Design who is based in Dublin. Therefore, we are looking for a technical expert, with an electrical design back ground, who is able to work on an autonomous basis, influencing design strategy and driving innovation. The role will involve working directly with project leads, production teams and clients to shape projects from concept to completion. With initial onboarding taking place in Dublin for 3 weeks and an estimated 2 days a month there after. The successful candidate will serve as a vital link between operations and technical teams, contributing to complex projects while advancing their career within a growing international company. Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical fault finding, repair, and maintenance of CNC machinery, PLC-controlled systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Planned and reactive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Routine inspections including compressors and emergency lighting
• Supporting general site and engineering maintenance when required

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to maximise operating efficiencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working as part of a team throughout the site.
• Responsible for the associated administration of your work as well as the H&S of yourself and your co-workers (wearing PPE at all times).
• Working within agreed risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times. Where such does not exist due to the nature of the repair, to ensure that a two-minute risk assessment has been completed and that no person is allowed to operate machinery which they do not have current training/certification for.
• It is your right and responsibility to check that your co-workers are operating safely and if you have any doubts, these are to be reported to your line management and for the job to be halted until a safe operator can be found, or to be recorded as a near-miss if the job has already taken place.
• Responsible for managing the completion of ongoing PPM’s in addition to any emergency or unforeseen breakdowns.
• Planning, installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of all mechanical equipment and facilities (minimise lost time due to breakdown).
• Demonstrate a flexible, creative approach to problems and troubleshooting.
• Driving positive continuous improvement.
• Ability to ensure the existing legacy plant is maintained to the highest level possible as new plant is invested in and integrated.
• Thoroughly and accurately carry out daily checks on essential plant, equipment and machinery as part of the company preventative maintenance schedule (BOPV5)
• Carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery as directed.
• Be available on call out basis to provide cover in the event of emergency breakdowns.

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Severn Trent Water and they are recruiting for a Senior EICA Engineer to help deliver these projects.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) design services that support the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of projects across the water and wastewater sectors. You will play a key role in mitigating technical, commercial and delivery risks, ensuring that design solutions are robust, buildable, cost-effective and aligned with both client specifications and contractual requirements. You will lead and coordinate design activities, producing detailed design documentation and drawings in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, water-industry standards, and internal engineering governance arrangements.
