  • Design and layout of high and low power circuits, designing to such considerations as; commutation loop inductanceminimisation, gate loop inductanceminimisationand balancing, current sharing between devices and theminimisationof electromagnetic interference.
  • Perform circuit simulations and PDN analysis toanalyseandoptimisethe above.
  • Develop module designs with system level architecture in mind. Whereappropriate inputintodesign of system level architecture such as capacitor integration, heat sink design/coolant flow integration, placement of gate drive boards and power busbars etc.
  • Produce schematic documentation and engineering drawings for power module and system designs and oversee early sample manufacture of prototype modules.
  • Use of 3D and 2D CAD modelling software (SolidEdge) and PCB design software (Altium)in order toproduce module and system designs as outlined.
  • Similarly, the use of both finite element modelling software (ANSYS Mechanical and Q3D) and circuit simulation software (LTSpice, PLECS) to evaluate the designs produced andmaximisetheir static and dynamic performance.
  • Design power modules and systemsin accordance withDesign for Manufactureprincipalsformthe outset.
  • Take on project leadership positions, overseeing and driving a project from idea/inceptionall the way through to prototype manufacture. With the opportunity for full ownership of product development projects.

ABOUT YOU
