To provide fit for purpose engineering solutions for complex projects. To ensure that design authority standards and configuration control are applied appropriately. A Project Engineer (Senior) will provide more complex engineering solutions to higher profile projects, underpinned by a high level of technical knowledge and experience.

• Responsible for the smooth-running day to day of the Marketplace Merchandising department
• Working alongside the team, to get our products onto global platforms, such as Zalando, Amazon and ASOS.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Assistant Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser in a Fashion Retail business.
• Experience of planning weekly sales, stock and intake management.
• The confidence to manage and own a category, including participating in weekly trade meetings.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of managing and developing team members (desirable)
• Strong computer skills, in particular, Microsoft Excel to an advanced level.
• Knowledge of reporting tools is desirable
• A passion and interest in online retail.
• Previous experience working with integrators and facilitators such as Shopify, Rithum or Mirakl would be advantageous.

The role

You will take ownership of the full delivery lifecycle: from pipeline design and environment architecture through to release-linked observability and incident readiness. Day to day, you can expect to be shipping small, frequent changes using trunk-based development and feature flags, embedding security and quality gates directly into CI, and working with colleagues across Release, QE, and Environments to ensure every deployment is traceable, auditable, and safe.

Alongside the technical work, you will mentor engineers, contribute to communities of practice, and help the wider team move faster without sacrificing resilience.

What you will bring

• Advanced CI/CD experience, including progressive delivery techniques such as canary releases, blue/green deployments, and automated rollback
• Solid grasp of secure-by-design practices: SAST, SCA, DAST, IaC scanning, SBOM, WAF configuration, and pipeline attestations
• Experience building and managing ephemeral, production-like environments with data-on-demand capability
• Strong observability skills - tracing, metrics, logs, SLO/error budget management, and deployment annotations
• Familiarity with DORA metrics and a track record of removing flow constraints at squad level
• Confidence with shift-left testing: contract, performance, resilience, and security tests in CI
